VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

 

 

These are a few of the many opportunities for volunteer service.  Keep track of all activities, even one day events!  Maintain records of your hours, all supervisors' names and phone numbers for future reference on scholarship and college applications, and also resumes for employment.

Fallbrook Healthcare Foundation Care Advocacy Program needs volunteers to advocate for local seniors living alone.  You can help by running errands, sending cards or letters, doing some minor home repairs or yard maintenance, special holiday visits, social visits and phone calls.  If you would like to help, please call 723-7570.

Fallbrook Historical Society is looking for volunteers for its Junior Docent Program.  The first informational meeting is being held on Sunday, January 21 at 3 pm at the museum located at 260 Rocky Crest Road.  Call Greg Dehm, Youth Chairman at (760) 443-6777.

Fallbrook Hospital Auxiliary
Provides volunteer support on a large-scale basis for Fallbrook Hospital. Junior volunteer group also available. Meets the 3rd Wed., 9:30 a.m. at Fallbrook Hospital. Call (760) 728-1191.

Fallbrook Land Conservancy Volunteers needed for invasive plant removal.  Team meets last Saturday of the month 8 am to 12 pm at the Los Jilgueros Preserve parking lot off South Mission Rd just north of Sterling Bridge Road.  Call (760) 728-0889 for more information. 

Fallbrook VFW Volunteers needed to serve meals on Wednesdays 5:30-7:00 pm and Fridays 5:45-7:15 pm as needed.  Located at 1175 Old Stage Road.  Contact Anne Richter at 731-1041 for more information.
